January 25

Yesterday we looked at anaerobic and aerobic types of exercise. We also wondered how many press ups one could do well .. (I guess they are not push ups anymore) one can do well behold the power of wiki.

Thats right :

The World Record for non-stop pushups is 10,507 by Minoru Yoshida of Japan on October, 1980.

Sweet jesus thats madness.. I think my record is 50 but I will have to do it in front of some judge and youtube it ..dont know about 10 thousand:P 10,000!

Back to History you should today research Prometheus who is a bit different from the rest of the gods. This guy was trouble he defied other gods and later Zeus. You should have at least a page of work describing the story of Prometheus and make sure to cover these questions.

What is it that Prometheus is not afraid of?

When does Prometheus say his suffering will end?

What will Zeus do to Prometheus?

How are Zeus and Prometheus similar?

What do you make of his actions? What kind of symbol might he have functioned for the classical authors?

Edith Hamilton (that book you are reading..right)contrasts the ways the Greeks and earlier peoples viewed the world. What are the differences that she sees between them?

This is a good site for those in History. This site is great and a serious chunk of the material you need to know is on there so make good use of it.

10 000 :P I think that record is safe.
