Writing a News Report from a “Snapshot”
Sketch or describe a scene from the video and attach it to this worksheet. Use the scene to write your news report.
Information to include in your news report:
· What exactly is happening in the scene?
· Why is this happening?
· Who is in the scene? What are their positions or titles?
· Is this a local, national, or international story?
· What sort of follow-up news will there be?
· What has either person said?
· Are there quotations? Attributions?
· Who else might comment on this situation?
· What background information does the reader need to know?
· What are consequences of this action?
· Is this a breaking news story or a follow-up to news?

How?
Write your lead sentence:
Plan your article on the back of the page.
